Why so heavy? Why so stable?

The YIV plate deliberately weighs 660 g – heavy enough that it won't slide or tip over while eating. No suction cup, no trick – just physics. And because the base is so solid, the plate doesn't deform even when hot – it always lies flat. Whether on the stove, in the oven, or on the grill: this plate can handle anything. Ideal for children learning to eat, but equally good as a full-fledged individual plate for adults.

Our parenting tip: Tuck a bib under the plate – this creates a natural pipeline directly into the bib. After 1–3 demonstrations, learning to eat will happen all on its own.
