Yes, enamel is generally dishwasher safe. However, we recommend hand washing with warm water and mild detergent to maximize its lifespan. Harsh detergents can dull the surface over time. If using a dishwasher: choose a gentle cycle and place items so they don't knock against each other.

**Can enamel chip? What then?**
Yes, enamel can chip due to falls, impacts, or extreme temperature shocks (e.g., a hot pot in cold water). This is typical for high-quality natural material made of glass on iron.
- **Chipped on the outside:** Can still be used without problems.
- **Chipped on the inside:** Replacement is recommended, as the non-porous hygienic surface is damaged.
Important: Chipping only occurs due to external impact or improper use after purchase.
