Microwave/oven safe

Not suitable for microwave use. Only conditionally suitable for oven use; enamel is heat-resistant, but handle with care when using an open flame.

Note regarding the material enamel

Enamel is a glass coating on metal. It is durable and easy to clean, but can chip if dropped or subjected to hard impacts.

Multifunctional use of the YIV enamel cups for soufflé

The YIV enamel mugs offer some interesting features that you can optimally use for soufflés:

• Enamel is heat-resistant, hygienic, aroma-neutral and easy to clean.

• According to the description, the cups are not only suitable for serving, but also for heating/baking (to a limited extent) – e.g. “suitable for … oven and grill”.

• Their shape (conical/stackable) allows for flexible portioning.

• If it's a set with a lid: Ideal for preparation or freezing until processing.

Here's how you could proceed:

1. Grease the cup well (with butter) and, if necessary, dust with flour or sugar, depending on whether it's sweet or savory.

2. Prepare the soufflé mixture as usual.

3. Fill the mixture into the cup – ideally to about ¾ full, so that there is room for it to rise.

4. Preheat the oven to the temperature specified in the recipe. Enamel retains heat well, so it's best to use medium heat.

5. Place the cup in the oven – preferably in the middle – and do not open the oven door during baking.

6. Once the surface is golden brown and the mixture has risen, serve immediately. The enamel mugs are then ready to use and look great.
