YIV enamel is a high-quality natural material made of glass on iron– robust, heat-resistant, and durable. However, enamel can be damaged by external influences, as, like any glass-like material, it is not completely indestructible.
Common causes of chipping
Chipping usually occurs due to mechanical or thermal stress, for example:

Fallonto a hard surface

A hard blowagainst a solid object

Extreme temperature shocks(e.g., hot pot + cold water)

Too rapid/empty heating, especially on induction.
Is the dishware still usable?

✔ Chipped exterior:The dishes can still be used without any problems.

✘ Chipped inside:We recommend replacement, as the non-porous glass surface is damaged and optimal hygiene is no longer guaranteed.

Chipping is caused exclusively by external influences or improper use. Since these influences are beyond our control after purchase, we cannot replace products with chipping.
